Carey Hendricks Aldridge is dedicated to protecting the rights of intimate partner violence and child abuse victims. After completing her master's degree program, Carey accepted a position with the Southeast Spouse Abuse Program in Hammond, Louisiana, located just north of New Orleans. There she was responsible for developing a counseling program for children exposed to intimate partner violence. She also advocated for victims of intimate partner violence during protective order proceedings.

Carey found her career as a victim advocate fulfilling but soon realized there was a lack of available attorneys with the necessary knowledge to protect the rights of women and children against violence. She enrolled in law school at the University of Louisville and graduated with her Juris Doctorate in 2006.

Following graduation, Carey accepted a position with Kentucky Legal Aid to provide legal representation to indigent clients during domestic relations proceedings including divorce, custody and child support matters. She then joined the Hardin County Attorney's Office as a family court prosecutor and applied her extensive background in working with victims of crime to improve the system's response to children involved in dependency, neglect and abuse proceedings.

In 2011, Carey formed Aldridge & Aldridge Law Firm with her husband, Jeremy, where she focuses her practice primarily on advocating for the rights of abused/neglected children, personal injury, and civil litigation for crime victims. Carey also serves as Board President for Silverleaf Sexual Trauma Recovery Services, a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the trauma experienced by victims of sexual abuse and sexual assault. Jeremy and Carey reside in Elizabethtown with their children.
