DUI offenses in Kentucky can carry one or more types penalties. An offender may be sentenced to fines, jail time, license suspension, mandatory treatment programs, and community service. Commercial drivers are especially subject to strict laws. Even if a DUI charge is a first offense for a commercial driver, they will automatically receive a license suspension for one year. They will then be required to pay a $50.00 reinstatement fee and pass all required written and vision tests again.
